MavBridge™ for Fulfillment

Payment processing in an order fulfillment environment can be an incredibly complex task. The typical center receives a wide array of payment and form types, many of which are not just simple payments. The payment side of the transaction can be a check, credit card, or cash. Often, the forms not only contain typical customer information but also include marketing campaign options such as memberships, subscriptions, or premium redemptions. In this data-driven industry, it is not unusual to see survey information included on a form. The need to capture all of this data in its different formsFulfillment Graphic and to consistently react to it when processing a payment can often result in a fractured and labor-intensive process.

Simplicity from Complexity

The modules included in the MavBridge™ Software Suite are ideal for creating an image-based system that meets the challenges posed by payment processing in a fulfillment environment. The Advanced Recognition Technology included in MavBridge™ can be used both to identify different document and campaign types and to locate and extract information based on these specifics, such as customer account numbers, quantities, order numbers, address changes, and check boxes. For survey type documents, the Image Studio software included in MavBridge™ makes it easy to set up the system to automatically recognize a survey and extract the data.

But perhaps the most beneficial aspect of the Mavro solution in this environment is One-Touch Processing using "Virtual Batching". With Virtual Batching in place, all payments are simply extracted and scanned with no sorting required. Because the payments are scanned with no sorting by an operator, the payment types are "unstructured", i.e., payments for all different types of orders are mixed together. The Mavro software can take this unstructured stream, recognize the document images included in each transaction, and automatically sort the transactions into like types. Finally, the "virtual batch" release process forwards several new batches to streamlined workflows based on transaction types. The tedious hand sorting typically required in a fulfillment operation is eliminated.

Flexibility for Special Needs

Virtual Batching allows MavBridge™ to create flexible workflow queues based on transaction content. For example, the information from simple orders with properly balanced payments can automatically be routed to your order entry and accounting systems with no operator intervention required. Exception type payments such as ones with handwritten requests can be routed to an operator for image-based interaction. Finally, our MavBridge™ Workflow Monitor software lets managers track every aspect of system operation in real time, spotting problems before they become serious and making sure that resources are assigned where they need to be to meet changing volume requirements.

All of this means that you can achieve significant labor savings while seeing a more reliable, consistent response to order payments.
