MavBridge™ Forms Processing

For any organization that receives a variety of different forms, payment processing can be a labor-intensive, expensive proposition. For a publisher receiving many different subscription and order forms or a municipality receiving a variety of tax forms and parking ticket types, presorting, job setup, and workflow design are major challenges. The forms processing capabilities built into our MavBridge™ Software Suite will let you meet these types of challenges head on.

Comprehensive Setup Tools

Forms GraphicMavBridge™ software provides all the tools necessary to easily set up forms for system processing:

  • Mavro's Image Studio is used to quickly set up the system to recognize features on a particular form, such as physical size, bar codes, unique logos, etc.
  • Image Studio is also used to identify areas on the form that the system can read automatically, such as MICR lines, account information printed in OCR fonts, check box locations, etc.
  • Armed with this type of information, the payment processing system can automatically characterize the forms included in each transaction and can use Mavro's Virtual Batching technology to convert unstructured batches into structured virtual batches.
  • Virtual Batching means that the system can handle mail containing mixed form types within a single job and can automatically sort the transactions by type, virtually eliminating hand sorting.
  • Built-in scripting capabilities allow easy handling of business logic. For example, if the account number on a payment coupon begins with 01, the transaction could be sent to a specific operator, or if the number begins with 02, the first page of each transaction could be rotated.

More Efficient Information Extraction

MavBridge™ has a complete set of capabilities that allow more efficient information extraction:

  • Information in machine-readable formats is automatically extracted and sent to downstream systems.
  • MavBridge™ Keying Station software allows image-enabled keying of information from the forms when needed.
  • Interactive OCR technology, allows operators to double-click or rope-and-zone certain areas on the form, immediately capturing the information in that area. (Interactive OCR is especially useful in situations where data that must be captured is located in different places from form to form.)
  • Image Enhancement allows operators to enhance the quality of difficult to read images, making it easier for them to achieve more accurate keying results.
  • Data such as customer account numbers can be imported and used to perform real-time validation of information that was either automatically read or keyed-in by an operator.
  • MavBridge™ software has an unparalleled ability to interface with both upstream and downstream systems.
